Introduction – About Chetan Bhagat

Chetan bhagat is a prominent Indian author, pandit as well as a speaker well known for his contemporary fiction that appeals to a wide audience. He started his career in investment banking later he started writing to. In 2004 his first book was “five point someone” published which was also considered as his debut work. After he published this book he gained instant recognition and became a best seller. After this book his career blasts and took a turn towards the success. He started writing more books after that. Some of his most famous books were “one night at the call centre”, “2 states”, “half girlfriend”, and “revolution 2020”. All these books have a body filled with themes of challenges faces by Indian middle class families.  

Education and Early Childhood 

Chetan bhagat was born on April 22, 1974 in capital of India new Delhi. His career was started with a strong education and a modest family. He had completed his primary and secondary education in Delhi. Bhagat was an outstanding student in terms of education which in return got in admission into the famous Indian institute of technology (IIT) delhi, there he opted for mechanical engineering. After that he pursued MBA from (IIM) Ahemedabad. As we can see till now his education base and achievements were commendable. His career was successful in investment banking. Then later he started writing and then become a full-time writer. 

Career and Journey of Chetan Bhagat as an author

Chetan bhagat’s writing career has been exceptional, with a stratospheric climb to prominence and a considerable impact on the Indian literary landscape. Bhagat wished to follow his passion and decided to become a investment banker. In 2004 he decided to publish his first novel “five point someone”, it was written on the bases of his past experience in (IIT) delhi.

He had written various books like “one night at the call centre” published in 2005, “the 3 mistakes of my life” published in 2008, “2 states” published in 2009. All these books helped him to build the unbreakable image as a best-selling author, these books state the problem faced by Indian middleclass people on the bases of love, friendship, ambition and societal issues.

His books are mainly famous because of its relatable concept which let readers connect to it. And that’s what makes his book distinctive and different from others. In 2014 he published a book “half girlfriend” which got so much love from people that later it was released as a Bollywood film.

Personal Life

Before becoming a full-time writer Chetan Bhagat was an investment banker. He had worked for several years in investment banking. He was married to Anusha suryanayana and had twins with her. Apart from writing he is also a public speaker and social commentator. He is well-known for his candid as well as for his controversial views on social and political topics of India. He also gives various speeches on different topics like youth empowerment, education, and also about self improvement as well as personal growth.
